How can a bride be haunted?

How can a bride be haunted, I hear you ask. Her wedding day is supposed to be one of the happiest days in a woman’s life. So, what ghost would be audacious enough to come and put a spoke in her wheel?

But this is no ordinary wedding, and Holly no ordinary bride.

You see, the man she is marrying is a complete stranger to her – they have never met in person, and spoke on the phone only once.

A bit drastic, I hear you say. And not very realistic.

Yes, it is, and no, it isn’t. Desperation calls for drastic action. And this isn’t meant to be a real  marriage, anyway. It is meant to serve a purpose, and then be dissolved.

A tad mercenary, wouldn’t you say?

Not really. You see, both Holly and Joshua have very good reasons for a temporary, pretend marriage. And once they each have what they want, there will be no reason to stay married to each other, leaving them both free to go their separate ways.

That is the plan, anyway.

But as we all know, the best-laid plans go wrong.

For starters, the moment Holly ends the one and only call with Joshua, in which she accepts his wedding proposal, strange things start happening to her when a ghost demands that Holly tell her story. But what is the connection, and why Holly? Holly only wants her children back, not to go ghost-hunting. 

Joshua has his own reasons for marrying a woman he doesn’t know from a bar of soap, a plan only a desperate man can device. His fiancee of 4 years is doodling, and he thinks it might help motivate her down the aisle if he is unavailable to her – as in married to someone else.

Between the ghost, a devious ex-husband and the unhappy fiancee, Holly and Joshua don’t know if they are coming or going.
