    Vanilla V BDSM

Remember the hype back in 2015, 13 February to be exact, when Fifty Shades of Gray, the first of the 3 movies, was released? EMSs all over the world feared that they would be faced with a wave of injuries caused by BDSM scenes gone wrong. Personally, I was obsessed by the Shades of Gray, all 3 of them, and it got me thinking. I wanted to write a really hot book of my own - without the BDSM, for one simple reason. Although it worked in the Gray saga, to my mind, BDSM isn't romantic. It is a transaction. One person allows another to hurt/humiliate him/her for their pleasure,…

    Bridesmailds, Weddings & Honeymoons

What happens at a wedding stays at the wedding, right? Not necessarily. Because there are consequences. A Gothic themed wedding made an impression on six people, not including the bride and groom, that we know of so far. But the bride got more than she bargained for when she booked a lodge in remote mountains for her wedding. A passel of ghosts (is that correct for more than one ghost?} beautifully added to the ambiance. Fear drew at least one girl into the arms of a lover, and resolved love issues for at least two more girls on separate occasions. But one thing they are all certain of - those…

Trapped In Yesterday: A Bewildering Ghostly Tale.

Seriously, who doesn't love the goosebumps raised by things that can't rationally be explained? Creaking doors, a cat's arched back and puffed-out tail, footsteps when no one is there. Lovely creepy stuff. This ghost is a proper piece of work. How do you escape a jealous ghost? Lawrence can't find peace in death. He hangs around the house he lived in with his wife, trapping Rachel in the past without her even realizing it. Until her friend Jane arranges an unusual 30th birthday gift for her - a night with a professional seducer. Trip is hotter than hot, happy with his life, and what he does for a living. He…

    On a dark, dark night…

This week I want to tell you something about my book Finders Keepers, An Almost Gothic Love Affair. You know what the elements of Gothic romance are, right? The Gothic Romance genre draws its name from Gothic architecture, which was creepy at best. These medieval buildings usually sport underground passages, dark battlements, hidden panels, and trapdoors. They are dark and mysterious and scary. ‚ÄčA Gothic romance is set in just such a place, which is often haunted. The damsel in distress is often trying to escape an overbearing father, only to be trapped in a situation at the mercy of the hero, an attractive, bad tempered, moody man. The house…

    Roxanne’s Ghost Duo

The Roxanne's Ghost duo is all about twins, identical twin sisters to be exact. Everyone knows how close twins are, right? They are apparently able to feel each other's emotions. So, if one of them has a strong emotional reaction to a man, the other should in theory feel the same emotional response. It makes sense, doesn't it? But what does this mean in reality? Say, they fall in love with the same man. How are they going to deal with it? Will one, for instance, marry the guy, knowing how her soul sister feels about him? And if she does, what does the other sister do? Might jealousy prompt…

Holly’s Convenient Playground – The Fairest Cape

My book, Haunted Bride, is set deep in the wine country of the Western Cape in South Africa. When Holly marries Joshua, a man she meets for the first time on the chapel steps moments before she has to say 'I do', she knows absolutely nothing about him - not even that he is a vigneron and vintner. After the wedding, he takes her to Fairley, his wine estate. Surrounded by majestic mountains, the vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see. That's when she realizes how rich Joshua really is. She fell with her ass in the butter, but as far as she is concerned, it isn't a…

    A View Across A Bay

Bloubergstrand is a seaside suburb of the City of Cape Town, South Africa, 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) due north of the city center. Literally, Bloubergstrand means Blue Mountain Beach. The view across the bay is absolutely stunning. Looking at Table Mountain from this angle, on the left is Devil's Peak, then Table Mountain proper - the top cable car station is on the very right, then Kloof Neck. Next is Lion's Head and in front of that, sloping toward the harbor, is Signal Hill, from where to this day a canon shot marks the midday hour. The hotel we will be staying at for the first week of our holiday…

Ghosts, Witches, Vampires, Werewolves, Shifters And Such

This blog is for books with paranormal elements in them. Remember that pesky vampire I mentioned before? Well, I am happy - and very nervous - to announce that he is about to be launched into the world. It is paranormal vampire romance (naturally) set in Cape Town, South Africa. This vampire - his name is Zanephyn Heardt - is trying to cure himself of the malady of being a vampire, but his plans go awry when his virgin 'cure' accidentally comes across a stranger. There is also a witch and an irritating slayer in the mix to put a spoke in his wheel. And you didn't think I was…
