Is there such a thing as parallel universes?

Or maybe I should say alternative realities.

Is it possible for your timeline to veer off at a different tangent with you in it?

What could cause an alternative reality like this? A catastrophic event, a glitch in the weather, or something as simple as stumbling on the stairs?

Something happens to Roxanne that might convince you that time might not be as linear as you believe.

And then there are twins, monosygotic ones where the DNA is almost but not quite identical. If they are alike as that, are their likes and dislikes also nearly identical? It could be possible that they will fall in love with the same person – which in a way might create an alternative reality all by itself.

And then what?

This is exactly what happened to identical twins, Roxanne and Millicent – they both fell in love with Ben. But, as he could only marry one of them, what happened to the other one? Did she fall out of love with him after he married her sister?
